The WBYC club is a fantastic place to achieve goals for grief awareness, raise money, and have fun while also supporting people going through difficult times. Currently, we are donating presents to individuals dealing with challenging circumstances to bring some positivity to children who are struggling. A beloved member of the Carlisle community, William Wolfgang Shaw, passed away at the age of 9. William was known for his kindness, empathy, hard work, humor, talent, and being a great singer of Hamilton. Nick and Susie Shaw, the parents of William, came together and came up with WBYC, which stands for “William Be Yourself Challenge.” A way to keep William with us and a reminder to “Be Yourself.” William always believed in the motto “Be Yourself,” meaning not to be influenced by others but to do what your heart says. Recently, we organized a raffle where the winner received tickets to a Celtics game. The winner was allowed to bring up to 20 additional people with them to the event. The initiative raised funds to offer free vacation trips for people who have lost a loved one. WBYC is an excellent community. Ms. Carmel hosts meetings every Wednesday morning at 7:00 in the gym; food will be provided.
